I have a dual boot laptop (a Lenovo Thinkpad P14s) with Windows 10 and Ubuntu 21.10.

Often when I start ubuntu, the touchpad decides to not function: sometimes it does not work at all; other times, only the two/three finger gestures don't work. Also, if I restart the PC the touchpad works and gestures work fine (sometimes it needs 2 to 3 times in a row to go back to work).

How can I prevent this problem so I don't have to reboot?
