Certificate private key protection

Writer Andrew Henderson

I am specifying a *.p12 file in the network connection settings GUI - 802.1x EAP-TLS as the private key for the Ethernet connection authentication certificate. For this I enter a password in the "Private key password" field. Is there any way to make this password not visible to the user? Maybe through configuration in some other way?

What am I trying to achieve? I want to personally set up network authentication for users and I would like to block a user from using the certificate and key files and this password on another computer.
